What Are The Smile Makeover Treatments

A smile makeover is a customized treatment plan that may include one or more cosmetic dental procedures to help you achieve your ideal smile. At our practice, we offer several smile makeover options, including the following:

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that are placed over the front surfaces of the teeth. We may recommend them if you have teeth that are chipped, discolored, or misaligned. The color of the porcelain can be made to match your teeth perfectly for a natural-looking smile makeover. The porcelain is bonded to the front of the tooth with resin cement to create a strong and natural-looking restoration.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is the application of composite resin to a tooth to fix minor damage and restore its appearance. The dentist will polish the tooth a bit so the composite material can adhere properly and then apply the resin to the tooth and shape it. Once the material hardens, the dentist will further trim and polish the bonded tooth, so it looks natural.

If you have small areas of tooth decay or chips, then dental bonding may be a good option for you. This treatment can usually be completed in a single visit, and it uses tooth-colored materials to blend with your smile.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the most popular smile makeover treatments, and it’s easy to see why! This simple procedure can drastically improve the appearance of your smile within a matter of weeks. Your dentist may recommend teeth whitening if you have teeth with yellowed or darkened enamel due to stains from food, wine, coffee, or cigarettes. It is also a great option for patients who have sensitive teeth that won’t respond well to other cosmetic dentistry options such as dental bonding or porcelain veneers. During your treatment, your dentist will apply professional-grade bleaching gel to your teeth and gently activate it using a special light. The gel is specially formulated to reduce sensitivity and increase patient comfort. After just one appointment, most patients experience a significant improvement in their tooth color. Some patients even choose to combine their teeth whitening treatment with take-home trays to maintain their results for longer periods of time. Some people with normal tooth discoloration may only need one whitening treatment for their desired results, while others may need a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart to achieve the best results. Tooth whitening treatment is one of the safest and most conservative cosmetic procedures available, making it a popular choice for patients of all ages.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small titanium cylinder that is surgically implanted into your jawbone during a minor outpatient procedure. Your bone will fuse to the implant to create a secure foundation for your replacement tooth. We provide dental implants to help patients replace missing teeth or stabilize loose dentures.

Dental implants require the same general dental care as natural teeth, including brushing twice a day and flossing once per day. Patients who receive dental implants should have restorations maintained by our office every three to four months to ensure they last as long as possible.
